   Leave a bone for Tyler

Napoleon or the Little General because he often rules our household, Wigglebutt

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:
-dog rescue

August 1st 2005

Waking Mommy up every day with kisses, going to the park to see his friends, playing with his buddies in the yard, playing with his toys, chewing on things, swimming (he just learned how), meeting new dogs and people, being in the know in our 'hood

When Mommy and Daddy sleep in and he is bored (he pulls the covers off of us), baths, and leaving the park to go home when he's not ready

Favorite Toy:
Anything that squeaks, but he really loves his giggling tomato

Favorite Food:
Anything that Mommy and Daddy are eating-if they have it, it must be good. Seriously, he loves to eat beef ribs and BBQ pig ears!

Favorite Walk:
To the park, but not back from the park

Best Tricks:
Hopping down the stairs like a bunny rabbit, taking Mommy's shoes off for her, the rest are the basics.

Arrival Story:
We adopted Tyler from Lost Dog Rescue when he was 10 weeks old. I should say he adopted us. I picked him up and he just nestled right into my neck and settled down and sighed. I said, "It's gonna be ok, little one." Four other people wanted to adopt him, too, so I was really scared my husband and I would not be able to adopt him. But Tyler picked us. When I put Tyler down, he would waddle back to me. The people running the event drew names out of a hat to determine who got Tyler and fortunately we got him. It must have been fate. It was a good thing, because by that time, Tyler and I had bonded so strongly I don't know what I would have done if someone else's name had been called! I might have just bolted out of the place with him in my arms!

Tyler and his four brothers lost their Mommy when they were tiny pups, so I've become his surrogate Mommy. His "cousin" Reilly is on this site, too. My sister has a three year-old Labrador named Reilly who is very sweet. Tyler, as a puppy, has more energy than Reilly. But they do get along very well. Tyler is also great with children-he's very gentle with my niece and nephew who are 2 and 5. He's never met a person or dog he didn't like! He is on the small side for a lab, but he makes up for it with a big personality.
