What changed? After all the psycotherapy bills, and hospitals which have never seemed to end, I finally took my sister-in-laws advice and picked up a pup off of her porch. Then I let him into my life. I remember the day that I realized that he loved me. He licked my foot as I was getting ready to take him out for a potty break. I looked down at him as he crouched at my foot, and he looked up at me with something that certainly looked like love in his little eyes. I felt humbled and honored that this small dog was washing my foot, then I felt my love for him grow very large. We are rarely apart now,and then only for a couple of hours at most. I agree. When I feel like I am totally stressed out, I stop everything I'm doing and play with my dog. It is amazing for that ten minutes my stress diminishes and I am back to myself again.
