Chew on this: On Monday, April 30, 2007, Dogster and Catster surpassed 400,000 registered members!

Seems like just yesterday when we were chase-our-tails happy about reaching 300,000 members! (Well, in fact, it wasn’t that long ago; September 13, 2006 to be exact.) In April 45,900 new members joined the site, so it’ll hardly be two more months before we hit the half million mark.

The sites are gaining a new pet-loving member at the rate of one a minute! Here are a few more fur-filled stats:

• We host more than 2,000,000 dog and cat photos.
• More than 9,100 member-established, member-driven Dogster and Catster Groups have been created. (That’s more then all of MSNs pet-related groups at 8,373)
• More than 15,000,000 distinct friend-to-friend connections have been made.
• 2.1 million forum entries have been written.
• 65,957 pets have written 287,253 diary entries

C’mon, with so much going on, who wouldn’t want to get in on the fun? And seeing that it’s all focused around our sure-footed, friendly, furry best friends, well, that makes it all the better.
